Our client, a provider of housing services to vulnerable groups, is looking to retain an interim area manager on a 6 month contract to start in the New Year. You will be responsible for the delivery of operations and services in west/south west London, through the effective management of service managers, development of new and existing services, and actively representing the organisation at senior level with external agencies and local authorities. Main duties will include:- • To be responsible for the operation of thequality framework, including the implementation of corporate/operational policies and reviewing of service performance. • Line management of the centre/service managers, carrying out appraisals, setting objectives & monitoring standards • To work closely with the volunteeringmanager to ensure the effective delivery of volunteer services • To take the lead role in liaising with key local authorities, funding bodies and other agencies involved in the planning & development of services • Develop new services in the area in line with agreedcorporate plan • Participate in the development and on-going review of the Equality Action Plan. To be successful in this role you will need:- • A relevant housing/social care qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience • Anunderstanding of funding streams for older people and/or disability services including tendering processes and personalisation • Significant experience of working in the social care/housing sector, leading and managing teams • Experience of developing new services andnegotiating contracts (desirable) This position require you to hold a recent enhanced CRB and you must be flexible in your working hours, as you will be part of the managements on call rota.
