The City of York Safeguarding Adults Board wish to appoint an Independent Chair. The Board has a wide representation from key statutory and third sector organisations. There is a need for a credible Independent Chair to lead the Board through their next stage of development, in overseeing and ensuring the delivery of high quality services which protect and safeguard adults in the City of York. We require a Chair with experience and a successful track record at an Executive level and a thorough understanding of the safeguarding agenda. This will include:
Skills and experience in chairing complex professional and strategic meetings
Knowledge and understanding of local and national safeguarding agendas
Knowledge of recent developments, legislation and research underpinning adult protection and safeguarding work
Theappointment will initially be for a two year period on a daily rate basis and subject to 6 monthly reviews. The post will require a commitment of an average two days per month, up to 24 days per year, and some flexibility around this level of commitment is required. The daily rate is ВЈ500inclusive.
